The containers that make up the “MINI ECOLOGICAL ISLAND” are made of polyethylene using rotational molding. This material, produced in this way, ensures high resistance to impacts, aging, and fading.

The rotational processing of plastic indicates that polymeric materials can be molded into any shape through a treatment that usually occurs at high temperatures. The base of the polymers can be natural, like wax or cellulose, or synthetic, like nylon.

What characterizes rotational plastic is its high degree of resistance, thermal insulation, and acoustic insulation. It is a truncated conical container with a rectangular base of 90 liters, measuring 30×45 cm at the top and having a height of 90 cm.

The lids feature a sloping slot with a reduced loading opening, and they have a waste entry hole measuring 12×8 cm or a small handle. They are made of thermoformed ABS and then colored with the best two-component paints.

The metal structure is made of hot-dip galvanized tubular steel measuring 80x20x2 mm, forming a base with 4 containers in line, constituting the supporting framework of the island. It has vertical holes that allow for securing it to the floor.

The inclusion of a flagpole is available upon request.

The structure does not support the containers; instead, they can be easily removed and rest on the metal crossbars on the floor. This design extends the lifespan of the containers, as they only need to bear their weight, even when subjected to lateral heavy collection (e.g., glass).
